Kolej Teknologi & Profesional Indera Kayangan
Kolej Teknologi & Profesional Indera Kayangan is a higher learning institute recognized by Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia (Ref: R 5K001/2004) and Ministry of Human Resource, Malaysia (Ref: L 00357) It is under the quality assurance of Lembaga Akreditasi Negara (LAN) and Department of Skill Development (DSD).
KTP was established under IPTS Act 1996 and has begun its operation since 1998 in the Kangar Campus, Perlis. Since then, KTP has produced more than one thousand graduates in various fields and was granted with MS ISO 9001 : 2000 (Ref: AR 3786). KTP is also acknowledged by United Kingdom Accreditation Services (Ref : UKAS 074).
Perlis Indera Kayangan Technology and Professional College, (KTP) or once known with as Pusat Latihan Teknologi Maklumat KGBSB Perlis (PLTM) has begun its operation since 1998 with the cooperation of Technology University of Malaysia (UTM) (Faculty of Science and Information Technology). The program that was held was Certificate of Office Management Technology.
In July 2000, KTP has begun the courses for the first intake students in Malaysian Skills Certificate and also the Diploma program. Since then, KTP started to take students every 6 months, which is in January and July each year. Until today, more than 1000 students have graduated from this college and most of them already started working in their related fields. KTP also collaborates with the Ministry of Prime Minister or Jabatan Perdana Menteri (JPM) and also the state government in giving short term courses to the high school students as well as to government officers during weekends and school holidays.
KTP was granted by Department of Skill Development (DSD), Ministry of Human Resource, Malaysia as a corporate institute (Ruj. MLVK L 00357) to conduct training courses starting from 2001 until now.
In November, 2004, KTP was approved by the Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia as a private Higher Education Institute known as Perlis Indera Kayangan Technology and Professional College, (KTP) (Ruj. No. Kpt/ktp/atm/pls).
